Skin Care

Wearing makeup is a beautiful thing. I get to do a flawless finish, it increases my confidence, but every now and then I just want to step out and feel confident without any makeup on. When I remove my makeup  I want to make sure that my face is being cared for and this is all in the process of self love. It  has been a long process  for me but don't worry I'm making headway. At a really young age I had terrible acne, guys when I say terrible, terrible!!!. my skin tone was also uneven. It was just a hot mess, definitely not exaggerating.

 I would even put powder on my face to cover up my acne, yes!!!  bad decision  because it made it even worst as it clogged my pores and increased the chances of spots appearing on my face again. Now mind you,  I did not know anything about skin care back then, so I was just going around a continuous cycle of endless mistakes and ruining my skin even more. It was not until my mid teens that I actually took the initiative to care for my face. When I started , I used numerous products on my face but these were not natural , they were pretty harsh for my skin and boy ,I was fed up.Not until I started using the best thing , yes like literally the best thing I've ever tried , it is not a secret. Shea Butter, 100% Natural Shea Butter!!!

BENEFITS
Shea butter originally comes from a seed of a fruit called Shea ( Karite).  (Wellness Mama, 2018)

  •  It is naturally rich in vitamins and can be used for;
  •  several skin conditions
  •  moisturizer
  • Hair treatment
  • remove scars
  • reduces wrinkles.

When I  used this product, I only started seeing the changes in my skin by using it regularly, so every night before I went to bed I would rub my entire face with it. All I can say now is I'm finally seeing the light , slowly but surely. So to anyone reading this  that has struggled with  acne,  always remember persistence is the key to results. If you are unsure of what to use or allergic to a particular ingredient, please visit a dermatologist where you will be given professional advice. There are many other natural products that can be used .Shea Butter is one of the many products that naturally worked for me. I love wearing makeup but then I asked myself , am I comfortable without it? I think we can have the best of both worlds wearing makeup and making sure to treat and take care of our skin.

Question:  What is your facial routine when removing makeup?
